Our most popular trip and a true Southwold classic. We head out from the harbour at speed, past the pier and lighthouse, and out to sea along the Suffolk coast. Keep your eyes peeled for harbour porpoises, seabirds, seals, and — if you're very lucky — dolphins. Available as a scheduled trip you can book online, or as a private charter for your group.
A peaceful journey up the Blyth Estuary into the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The estuary is managed by Natural England and is an AONB teeming with wildlife. Spot Marsh Harriers, Herons, Cormorants, Mediterranean Gulls, Little Gulls, and occasionally Ospreys on migration. Keep an eye out for Sammy the resident seal — sightings not guaranteed, but always a thrill!
A longer adventure heading north to visit the Scroby Sands seal colony — grey and common seals that sometimes swim right up to the boat. You'll also get close-up views of the Scroby Sands offshore wind farm before a comfort break in Lowestoft harbour and the return journey south to Southwold.
