Terms & Conditions

All passengers must be aged 18 or over, or be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

By booking with Coastal Voyager, you confirm that you are not suffering from any medical condition that may be aggravated by boat movement, spray, or the general physical nature of a RIB boat trip. This includes but is not limited to: severe seasickness, back or neck injuries, pregnancy (beyond 12 weeks), or any condition that makes it unsafe to be on a moving vessel.

If you are in any doubt about your fitness to participate, please consult your doctor before booking. Coastal Voyager reserves the right to refuse boarding to any passenger whose health or behaviour may endanger themselves or others.

Coastal Voyager operates RIB boat trips from Southwold Harbour, Suffolk. All trips are subject to weather conditions and sea state. The skipper's decision on whether it is safe to depart is final.

In the event that a trip is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances outside our control, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. We will not be liable for any consequential losses (such as travel or accommodation costs) in such circumstances.

Coastal Voyager is licensed by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) under Category 4 for the carriage of passengers.

Life jackets are provided for all passengers and must be worn at all times during the trip. Passengers who refuse to wear a life jacket will not be permitted to board.

Waterproof suits are provided and must be worn as directed by the skipper.

Deliberate activation of a life jacket without reason will incur a penalty charge of £40 to cover the cost of re-arming the device.

All passengers must follow the safety briefing given before departure and follow the skipper's instructions at all times.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Vouchers are non-refundable once purchased.

Vouchers can be used against any trip offered by Coastal Voyager, subject to availability. To redeem a voucher, please quote the voucher reference when booking.

Coastal Voyager may take photographs or videos during trips for use in promotional materials, on our website, and on social media. By booking with us, you consent to being photographed during your trip.

If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the skipper before departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

You are welcome to take your own photographs during the trip, but please be mindful of the safety briefing instructions and the movement of the vessel. Coastal Voyager accepts no responsibility for damage to personal equipment such as cameras or phones.

A booking is confirmed only when payment has been received in full and a confirmation has been issued by Coastal Voyager. Provisional bookings may be made by telephone but are only confirmed on receipt of payment.

Coastal Voyager reserves the right to refuse a booking at our discretion. In the event that a booking is refused, any payment received will be refunded in full.

Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. Cheques are not accepted.

For private hire bookings, a deposit may be agreed at the time of booking with the balance due no later than 7 days before the trip date.

If you wish to change the date of your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability. Changes requested with less than 48 hours' notice may not be possible.

Changes to the number of passengers in your group should also be notified as early as possible. Reducing passenger numbers may affect your total price, subject to our cancellation terms.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the trip: You will receive a full refund minus a 5% administration charge to cover payment processing costs.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip: No refund will be given. However, we may at our discretion allow you to transfer to an alternative date, subject to availability.

Cancellation by Coastal Voyager: If we cancel a trip due to weather, mechanical issues, or any other reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook on an alternative date. We will not be liable for any consequential losses.

Cancellations must be made by calling us on 07887 525 082 or by email. Please do not cancel via the booking system alone without also contacting us directly.

Coastal Voyager accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings brought on board. Passengers are advised not to bring valuables on trips.

Items left on board or at our premises will be stored for a maximum of 30 days, after which they will be disposed of. Please call us on 07887 525 082 if you believe you have left an item with us.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Coastal Voyager reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply.
